Freo de Janeiro delivers engaging conversations with a range of inspirational personalities and public figures from Australia and across the world to help us better understand people, culture and leadership.
Expect friendly and emotive conversations hosted by Western Australian sports mind and DJ, Abid Imam, filled with rich storytelling and a whole lot of laughs.
Previous guests include: 2005 Australian of the Year, Professor Fiona Wood AM, world cricket legend Adam Gilchrist and many more.
Freo de Janeiro’s unique name is a combination of Fremantle/Walyalup, also known as Freo in Western Australia and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Abid was raised in Freo, enjoying the laid-back lifestyle, and fell in love with Brazilian culture after visiting Rio for both the World Cup and the Olympics. This podcast draws on the inspiration and influence from these places by aiming to drive a much wider theme that explores diverse cultures and people.
Freo de Janeiro is an independent and community cultivated show.
