DJ Freo de Janeiro is about Linking People Together Through Sound with a flavour that is Engaging, Uplifting, Global.

I was born in Perth/Boorloo and raised in Freo/Walyalup, Western Australia. I am shaped by my culturally diverse background and the musical experiences I have had around the world. This permeates through my selections as I love reading the room to share fun and energetic mixes for audiences.

I passionately support the centering of marginalised communities, as music provides a voice. With this, I thank the Soul Alphabet ‘Take up Space’ program, for nurturing a better reflected Australian music scene and for equipping me with the skills at the start of my DJ journey through their first intake.

Genres I specialise in – An expansive palate of music makes me capable of a wide array of sonic styles such as Deep/Tech House, Afrohouse, Jazz House, Soulful Tribal/World House, Disco, Hip Hop, R&B, Baile Funk, Reggaeton, Afro-Beats, Amapiano and plenty in between.

With close connections to Brazil/South America, I bring an authentic angle on funk/jazz/samba/tropical rhythms blended with Middle Eastern beats and Afropolitan grooves from West, East and Southern Africa.
